Heiko Müller tries to peek behind the veil of nature
in order to picture what makes her tick when we’re
not looking. To do that he prowls the borderlands of Renaissance
painting, religious icon art and comic culture. Stay Awake
collects drawings, paintings and a couple of odd holiday
snapshots that combine the spiritual terror of the Flemish
masters with the serene and harmless world of rural folk
art. It also features select party pictures from more than
three decades.
